**We believe it is time to ignite human energy…one spark, one beautiful spark, one heartbeat at a time, creating a chain reaction, an explosion of energy that can bring about amazing transformation.*
As many of you know, BellaSpark Productions was named after our daughter Kristi who was killed in a car accident seven years ago. Kristi was a beautiful spark and we have tried to honor her memory by celebrating the beautiful, passionate spark of inspiration we knew her to be and carry on her legacy by igniting positive change in the world
There a many “BellaSparks” in this world, individuals who are striving to create a more peaceful, beautiful world, reaching out to find spiritual, practical and heartfelt solutions to our planet’s challenges. To recognize and honor these inspiring visionaries we have created the BellaSpark Award to be presented annually to an individual who is a catalyst for change and a shining inspiration for others.
In upcoming issues of BellaSpark Magazine we will be featuring many of these beautiful “BellaSparks” and encourage you, our readers, to submit your recommendations.
Whether affecting change in a community or on a national or global level, the power of one is a mighty thing. We are the people we’ve been waiting for.
To submit your recommendations for a BellaSpark Award go to www.BellaSpark.com/contact and tell us who you would like to nominate, what they are doing and why you feel they are special. Please include a photo and the nominee’s contact information if possible.
Dorothy Kuckuck
Dorothy Kuckuck really is a Bella Spark. She was so impressed by the caring people from hospice who cared for her husband during his illness that she decided to become a certified Healing Touch Practitioner. This is a time consuming certification requiring in part 100 hours of free services.
I was one of her first clients and she has continued to see me for free on a weekly basis for over a year. She even drove me to the hospital one day when I was unable to drive myself. When one of my friends became severely ill she was right there even going into surgery with her and waiting for her in the recovery room. She has been supportive to the family as well, keeping touch with them after my friend died. I have called her an angel on earth and I truly believe that she is. Nominated by Kim Starling
Zebiba Shekhia
Zebiba Shekhia, founder of Healing Bridges, was born and raised in the East African country of Eritrea. Witnessing atrocities during the war and fleeing as a refugee herself strengthened her resolve to one day make a difference.
Zebiba promised to return to Sudan and create a high school for girls, as they only had a school for boys. Zebiba spent her entire savings to build the school which is now open to 100 girls.
Zebiba has dedicated her life to helping her countrymen who are today still living in refugee camps in Eastern Sudan. She has vowed to help educate the children of the camps giving them an opportunity to advance far beyond their current situation in the camps and even beyond Eastern Sudan. healingbridges.org.
