You’ll Want to Watch This Channel… An Interview with Geoffrey Hoppe

By Linda M Potter
If you met him in the grocery store, you’d probably nod and smile; he has that gentle, friendly energy. If you talked to him, you’d enjoy his outgoing, genuinely caring personality. If you asked him what he did for a living the answer might catch you a bit by surprise. Geoffrey Hoppe is a wonderfully ordinary person with an extraordinary gift — one that he discovered relatively late in his life, one that has impacted people all around the globe.

Geoffrey Hoppe is a Channeler, a calling that pulled him away from several successful business ventures (including a marketing company and an aviation telecommunications company) over a decade ago.

As unlikely a candidate for a channel as he may at first seem, his work with Tobias and Adamus Saint-Germain has produced two groundbreaking books and taken him all over the world. In 1999, shortly after being introduced to Tobias, he founded the Crimson Circle, a global affiliation of New Energy teachers. Today, the Crimson Circle website attracts over a million visitors a year, and his monthly broadcasts from Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado, reach an international audience of thousands. Hoppe himself is as intriguing as the entities he has channeled. His journey has been remarkable to say the least, and his passion for what he does is contagious. I recently had an opportunity to spend a couple of hours with this fascinating man. It was two unforgettable hours very well-spent.

Geoff, I have to say that meeting you for the first time, I would have been inclined to think “engineer,” or “businessman.” But you’re a channel with an international audience. How did this amazing journey begin?
The beginning was kind of subtle like a velvet hammer. That was in early 1995. I had a marketing consulting company in Dallas and I’d also started an aviation technology company. . . . It was really, really busy, and I was having fun, but . . ., I knew something wasn’t right, something was very deeply unsettling, but I didn’t know what it was. It wasn’t my relationship with my wife, Linda, and it wasn’t my job. It was driving me nuts. It was like hearing this constant knocking at the door, but not knowing where the door was or who was knocking. This went on for about six months, and I would try to shut it off, but it didn’t work. Then one day a temporary secretary at the office (who knew I liked to read) brought in a box full of books. That weekend I went through the box and there was one book — it was all white and it looked different than the rest of them, and it felt different. I started reading it that night, and that was actually probably the life changing moment. The book was Kryon, Book 1, by Lee Carroll.

What was it about Kryon that had such a profound impact?
Kryon is probably the most preeminent channeled entity in the world right now. I read the book and had an amazing experience that night that lasted about two hours. I just was altered. I literally felt like I was invisible — just a light body. About a week later, I had a similar experience and then things really got going. It was kind of a moment of cosmic consciousness, but I had no idea what was going on. Out of that I ended up meeting Lee Carroll and we got to be good friends. I started a magazine for him — Kryon, Quarterly Magazine — and worked with him on some of his seminars. Then in1997, during an airplane flight, Tobias came in and announced himself.

You channeled Tobias for ten years. What was that first encounter like?
Tobias came in, announced himself, and we had a long chat. The next morning I thought I was just making it up, and the doubt came in. I made a conscious choice to just focus on work and stop doing that kind of stuff. A week later, driving home from work one night, Tobias came in again very clear. I could hear the voice outside of me. He was laughing, and said, basically, “You made an agreement and we’re going to do this.” For a year he took me through my own spiritual basic training. I didn’t tell anybody about it, not even my wife. I didn’t tell any of my business associates either, and I didn’t mention it to Lee Carroll. It was too fragile and too personal. I also still had doubts.

What was the “spiritual boot camp” experience like?
Tobias would come in and tell me things I didn’t know and had no way of knowing. He would take me through how to sense energy, how to talk to a tree or to animals, how to feel energy in people, how to connect with myself in the past, how to look at potentials for the future. So it was really amazing. But there were times I got so mad at him that I threw him out, saying “Don’t ever come back!” One time in particular was when he told me that you never go Home. You never go to Heaven or back to the Oneness of God? I was so pissed off because it went against everything I had [learned] in my rather limited Catholic background. It made me angry. If you don’t go Home, if you don’t return back to Oneness, what’s the point?! So I threw him out for about a week or so.

When I started talking to him again, of course he was laughing at me. He explained that what happened was that we all left Home a long time ago for a very beautiful reason. We come to Earth, and eventually we go through all these experiences and come to understand our own sovereignty, our own I AMness. So, what really happens is: Home comes to us. The essence of God expands and comes to us. Actually, if you tried going back home, you’d never find it. It doesn’t exist anymore. He calls it all that was. Because the moment that we as angels started going out and having experiences, it changed the nature of God itself. So you can’t really ever go back anyway, because it doesn’t exist the way we once knew it.

When did you finally decide to share what was happening with your wife?
After about a year I thought I needed to tell my wife because she knew something was kind of up. We’ve been married 33 years, but I was nervous because I didn’t want her to think that I was crazy, and I didn’t want her to throw cold water on it. It was probably the wrong approach, but I said to her, “Linda, you need to sit down; I need to talk to you.” So we sat down and I took a deep breath and said, “I’ve got a friend that I’ve gotten rather close to… ” I could see her whole face lose color, her mouth drop, and I suddenly realized she was taking it the wrong way. “No! No! This is an ANGEL.” I think she was relieved when I explained that it was an old dead Jew.

I read that you spent a year working with a Boulder psychologist and her clients before going out on your own as a Channel. What prompted that decision?
After the word got out that I was talking to angels, people were wanting to have sessions. I didn’t really want to do it that way; I didn’t want to become a reader. So, I worked with her clients [the psychologist’s] who were having a difficult time with traditional psychology because it wasn’t helping them break through. Tobias would come in and do an overview of their life [and let them know] whether past lives or other energies they might not be aware of were influencing their life.

Through that I learned how to channel. I got to see how Tobias works from another realm standpoint. It grew into a little local group, and we’d meet once a month in my living room. Then in 1999, it started picking up momentum. In 2000 we started a website just for the local people who couldn’t make it to the meetings. The minute we started that website it went viral all over the world. Pretty soon we started to get emails from across the US, then Canada, then Europe — it just blossomed.

Was this the turning point for you? Was this when you made the decision to quit your job and focus on channeling?
I left the corporate world on April 15, 2001. Tax day. Actually, the job left me. I was resisting, but I wasn’t happy there anymore. It was a company I founded, so it was a little challenging because it was like my child. Up to a point I was happy and having fun there, but then when I started doing the channeling — the spiritual work — it became kind of not that interesting any more. I have three patents for technologies (that I developed with my partners) for telecommunications between aircraft and the ground. My patents are for multidimensional communications. So [he laughs], I like to say I’m the only channeler in the world that actually has patents on multidimensional communications.

What was the channeling process like for you in the beginning? Did Tobias “take over” your body?
Tobias was from the apocryphal book of Tobit. (He was “thrown out” of the Bible, he told me.) When I channeled him, I would close my eyes and sit in a chair, and he would typically go for about an hour. When I first started channeling him, I had a funny accent. Linda asked Tobias one day, where does that kind of Transylvanian accent come from? You’re supposed to be Jewish! And Tobias, laughing, said, “That’s not my accent.” He said, that in past lives I had been a channeler and particularly in an area around Romania. When I went into channel I reconnected with that aspect of myself and had the accent. After I realized that, it started going away. People would say that sometimes my face would change a little, but there really wasn’t much. Tobias had a different word order, a different way of communicating than I do, but it wasn’t like JZ Knight who really physically changes.

I understand that you are no longer channeling Tobias, but are now working with a different entity. What has the shift been like for you?
Tobias left July 18, 2009, after almost 10 years. Then, Adamus Saint-Germain came in and took over. It’s been totally different with him. Last September we did our first workshop with Adamus, and I’ll never forget it. I’m in the chair with my eyes closed getting ready to say the first words and Adamus is like, “Oh, by the way, you have to open your eyes from now on.” And it’s like, no way. I don’t want to see everybody staring at me. And he said, “You will open your eyes because that’s what I require.” And then he added, “Oh, by the way, while you’re contemplating why you think you shouldn’t open your eyes… I also want to stand up and walk around.”

How does a typical session work? What’s it like when the information begins to flow through you?
I have my little process. I take off my jewelry. I take off my shoes. There’s some breathing. A lot of times I’ll play a little music. I know that I’m making a connection because I get these love washes from the top of my head. Everything just kind of feels cold and then warm and it’s “here we go.” Then suddenly there’s this download. It’s all at once — like a big ball of yarn and everything for the channel is contained within that. Then my job as a channeler — I’m really actually just an interpreter — is to unravel that ball of yarn, pull it out and form it into words so that humans can understand. Once in the while if I hit the wrong word, Adamus will correct me. Tobias never did — he always said, “Let it go, I’ll make it up later.” But Adamus is pretty strict.

So I’m unraveling this; I’m interpreting it for the audience, but it’s not just words; it’s their emotions, their feelings. With Adamus, it’s also his gestures and his mannerisms. He’s very theatrical; Adamus is a grand actor. Tobias was a pretty flat entity to channel. It was more like “let’s get the words out” with him. But he would tell jokes.

Most people probably know more about psychics than they do channelers. How would you compare the two?
First of all, there are a lot of different types of channeling. The channeling that I do is through an agreement with specific entities — first Tobias, and then Adamus Saint-Germain. I have specific agreements with them that they’re going to talk through me and I’m going to connect with them. The other type of channeling? Well, for instance, if I wanted to feel the energy of John Lennon, I could go into my state and I could feel into him and in that state I could get his thoughts and words. However, that doesn’t mean that he’s agreeing that I’m going to represent him. So there’s channeling by agreement and channeling by feeling into things. A channeler generally taps into the energy of a specific being. And a psychic kind of goes out into the realms and just feels or senses energy — whether it’s a past life or a future potential — but they’re not necessarily connecting with a specific being.

Do you also consider yourself a psychic?
Yes and no. I‘ve learned to become discerning and I’ve learned to be able to sense energies, but it’s deliberate and conscious. It’s not like some gift that I have. Anybody can do it. For instance, I learned how to go into the past, but as an observer with compassion — not as someone trying to change anything. But also as someone who understands that even if I were to do a past life reading — for you, for example — that there are past lives that you’ve chosen to manifest to act out, but there are as many past life potentials that are just as real that you never acted out here. You’re actually acting them out in the other realms. So I have to be very careful about doing a reading and saying to you that in a past life you were Madame Blavatsky or whoever. [He laughs] Were you?! I have to be very careful because it could be a non-experienced potential. (Not experienced in this realm, but possibly experienced in another realm.) My feeling is that you should just focus on the now. Just right now. Adamus said last weekend that humans in general spend 70 percent of their energy or their consciousness in the past and about 25 percent or 28 percent in the future, and almost nothing in the now. But every opportunity, every potential meets you in the now. It’s not out there.

The Baby Boomer Diet: Stay Forever Young

by Donna Gates with Lyndi Schrecengost

Born in prosperity, harbingers of change, Baby Boomers have made a significant impact on the world. But what will be our final legacy?

It’s been nearly 40 years since the Baby Boomers arrived at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre alfalfa field to attend Woodstock, an outdoor festival that was as much a counterculture “happening” as it was a celebration of music. Area residents didn’t know what to make of these “hippies” in bohemian dress who abandoned their cars and walked for miles to stand before the concert stage. Woodstock’s political provocation, defiance of convention, and back-to-nature innocence would make it one of the defining moments of an entire generation. Now, 78 million strong and approaching retirement, we Baby Boomers are showing few signs of slowing down.

Help! I’m Being Followed by Angry, Angry Birds Is it a Sign?

by Linda M. Potter

I was just notified through my Angry Birds software that I have now accumulated several achievement awards for such notable accomplishments as: smashing 500,000 blocks, busting 1,500 clouds, breaking open 2,000 cages, shredding 300 chocolate boxes, and snow- plowing down 1,500 ice blocks. Wow, I’ve been busy! All in the pursuit of the total annihilation of over 2,000 chubby little cartoon pigs that taunt me with their annoying squeals and rapid-blink eyes. Of course, I’m not really destroying anything — I’m simply assisting the snarly, vengeful birds out to take down the pork industry one little piggy at a time.

“Zero Waste” Makes Something Out of Nothing

Zero waste is an eco-conscious concept that involves viewing waste not as useless trash, but as a resource that can create jobs through collection and recycling, open up new financial opportunities for resellers, and most importantly, act as a raw material for the creation of new products.
