There is probably no one living on the planet who has not heard the phrase “Time heals all wounds,” and while this may be true for physical wounds, it may not always be so for emotional ones. You may be surprised to learn that you can be carrying the past around with you in ways you could never have imagined.
Throughout our lives we continuously experience all kinds of emotional ups and downs, and while we don’t always remember negative situations or events, their after effects can stay with us indefinitely. Even though you think you have let go of the emotional pain from something that has happened and you think it's all behind you now, your body can still be harboring the invisible energies of past emotions associated with this event. These are the wounds that time cannot heal without a little help.
Thanks to Dr. Bradley Nelson we now have a tool that provides that help. The Emotion Code is a part of a simple but powerful healing method known as "The Body Code,” which he researched and developed over a period of 21 years. A specialist in the emerging fields of bioenergetic medicine and energy psychology, Dr. Nelson created a method of finding and identifying emotions that are trapped in the body and bringing them to the surface where they can be neutralized and released with as simple as a magnet.
What is a Trapped Emotion?
When certain emotions become too powerful for us to handle, the result can be an electrical short circuit that becomes lodged somewhere in the body. An emotion can become trapped at any age or can even be inherited. A trapped emotion is an invisible ball of energy that seems to vary in size from that of a baseball to a melon. Wherever it entrenches itself, the energy field in that area becomes distorted. The result can be self sabotage, psychological distress or physical illness or pain for which there is no medical explanation. While any distressing event can result in trapped emotions, a few of the more common causes are:
- Loss of a loved one
- Divorce or the end of a relationship
- Financial hardship
- Job loss and forced unemployment
- Home or work stress
- Miscarriage or abortion
- Physical trauma
- Physical or emotional combat
- Physical, mental, verbal or sexual abuse
- Negative self talk
- Negative beliefs about yourself and others
Trapped emotions can also lodge in the area around the heart to form a “Heart Wall.” This is a wall of energy the subconscious mind creates around your heart to protect you from further emotional hurt. While a Heart Wall does keep you safe, it has a negative affect on your prosperity and makes it difficult for you to give and receive love. Those who have a thick Heart Wall often go through life feeling isolated and disconnected from others.
As Dr. Nelson explains in his book The Emotion Code, How to Release Your Trapped Emotions for Abundant Health, Love and Happiness: “I believe that Heart Walls affect us in two ways. First, they block the heart energy from flowing through the body; this makes it more difficult for the body to heal itself, and can cause physical symptoms, particularly in the neck, upper back and shoulders. Second, they block us from fully opening our hearts to others. In essence, a Heart Wall will make you numb to others and make it more difficult for you to feel emotions and connect to others. When you realize that the mind puts the heart wall up to protect us in the first place, it all makes sense, but if you have a Heart Wall, you will have a harder time being able to give and receive love freely.”
The release of a Heart Wall is sometimes readily apparent, but most of the time the results are more subtle. Once a Heart Wall is removed, the body has to go through a healing process; subsequent changes in your life may appear gradually in ways you might not immediately recognize.
How Does a Trapped Emotion Affect You? If you are finding it difficult to understand why you can’t seem to shake certain emotions, it is usually because that emotion is trapped somewhere in your body. Wherever a trapped emotion lodges itself, the surrounding body tissues tend to fall into resonance with its vibrational energy and you will naturally attract more of that emotion to you. For example, let’s say you have anger trapped in your body that you’ve unknowingly carried around for years. As a result, you often feel angry or easily become angry, even over something insignificant. Each time you encounter a situation where you could become angry, you are far more likely to do so because a part of you is already vibrating with the frequency of anger. Until that trapped anger is released, you will continue to attract more of it.
The more trapped emotions you have, the more negative energy you are radiating. This is why positive thinking and self help programs aren’t always successful and the Law of Attraction may not be working for you. Even worse, trapped emotions can create depression, anxiety, prosperity and relationship issues, and interfere with the normal functioning of your body’s organs and tissues. If you have persistent and unexplainable aches and pains or a chronic condition for which traditional medicine has no answer, trapped emotions could well be the underlying cause. Applying The Emotion Code is an easy way to find out.

Marci Shimoff, New York Times bestselling author of Happy for No Reason and Love for No Reason likes to begin her talks with showing a picture of herself at age two. In the photo, she has one hand on her head and a worried look on her face. Shimoff says she was born with “existential angst” and a “deep pain in her heart,” which she tried to fill with food.
At age nineteen Shimoff asked her dad, “What is the secret to life? He said, “Honey, just be happy.” Shimoff asked, “How do I do that?” He thought for a moment and then replied, “Honey, I don’t know.” Her dad didn’t know because he was a naturally happy person. So Shimoff set out to find the answer for herself.

Born in prosperity, harbingers of change, Baby Boomers have made a significant impact on the world. But what will be our final legacy?
It’s been nearly 40 years since the Baby Boomers arrived at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre alfalfa field to attend Woodstock, an outdoor festival that was as much a counterculture “happening” as it was a celebration of music. Area residents didn’t know what to make of these “hippies” in bohemian dress who abandoned their cars and walked for miles to stand before the concert stage. Woodstock’s political provocation, defiance of convention, and back-to-nature innocence would make it one of the defining moments of an entire generation. Now, 78 million strong and approaching retirement, we Baby Boomers are showing few signs of slowing down.

I was just notified through my Angry Birds software that I have now accumulated several achievement awards for such notable accomplishments as: smashing 500,000 blocks, busting 1,500 clouds, breaking open 2,000 cages, shredding 300 chocolate boxes, and snow- plowing down 1,500 ice blocks. Wow, I’ve been busy! All in the pursuit of the total annihilation of over 2,000 chubby little cartoon pigs that taunt me with their annoying squeals and rapid-blink eyes. Of course, I’m not really destroying anything — I’m simply assisting the snarly, vengeful birds out to take down the pork industry one little piggy at a time.

All over the world, people are tired of waiting for their government leaders to make the necessary changes that are promised year after year. How many times a week do you take out the trash?
If you recycle your trash or compost your organic waste, you will notice a dramatic decrease in the amount of discarded trash generated by your household.
But achieving zero waste is about more than just recycling and composting.
Zero waste is an eco-conscious concept that involves viewing waste not as useless trash, but as a resource that can create jobs through collection and recycling, open up new financial opportunities for resellers, and most importantly, act as a raw material for the creation of new products.
